TaylorMade SLDR Driver

The new TaylorMade SLDR driver is being marketed as the companies longest driver ever, and should add a yard or two to your drive through a combination of innovations.
TaylorMade have included an easy to use and intuitive slidable 20 gram weight into the head of the club allowing the user to adjust their shot by up to 30 yards. Moveable weights isn’t innovative, but the slide rule is quite unique. The club has centre of gravity which is low and forward, which is designed to promote fast club head speed, a high trajectory of launch and to minimise back-spin. Ultimately, to go long! The process appears simple; one needs to loosen the screw in order to slide the weight along, with a forward weighted position towards your toes encouraging the user to fade the ball, with a rear weighted position towards the heel encourages the golfer to draw the ball.
The design of the clubs is modern as well as functional, so it would sit well in your bag, and have the rest of the guys at the club wondering what it is you are unleashing on the first tee. The Fujikura Speeder 57 shafts blend a lightweight construction with a solid feel and playability.
The new SLDR Driver will be available from mid-August and will set you back around £349 at launch.
