Best Football Boots 2015 Season

The ‘FL72’ as it is quite stupidly called (standing for the 72 teams in the football league) is underway, and this coming weekend sees the start of the all new Premiership Season, as well as many top leagues around the rest of Europe. And whilst we can’t get enough of Super Sunday, there will also be the point of training and playing for our own local teams. We have been putting the best football boots for the 2014 / 2015 season through their paces, and these are our Top 5.

Top 5 Football Boots for 2014 / 15 Season (in no particular order)

Puma Evo Power

With the likes of Mario Batelli and Cesc Fabregas donning these boots week in, week out, you know you are in good company. Specially designed to mimic the natural movement of your foot on impact, meaning that maximum power is transferred through the ball for long balls and of course shooting.

2014 adidas Predator Instinct

It is hard to believe that it is 20 years since the original adidas Predator football boot was launched, and when we took a step back into time last week it was great to see all the boots. Our little poll suggested the Speeds from 2000 were a firm favourite. We are testing the new Instinct for 2014 right now and falling in love with them pretty quickly. There probably isn’t a better looking and more admired boot in the market right now. Click here for the full 2014 adidas Predator Instinct Review.

Nike Magista

The next generation of football boots? Perhaps, but only time will tell. One thing for sure is that flyknit has taken running by storm, and with a few tweaks it could do the same for football. Obvious concerns and protection, and the sheer stretch of flyknit means that turning quickly can often be less sharp. However, if you are the flashiest of the flash, look no further.

Nike Magista

Warrior Gambler

Whilst some may be surprised, our recent review turned the latest incarnation of the Warrior Gamblers up as real dark horses and one of the best boots around. With Vincent Kompany as their named player, you can imagine the type of boot. Full of power and protection but still with a lightness and agility. If you are the player who likes to be different in the dressing room, the Warrior Gamblers maybe for you. Check our full review here.

2014 adidas Copa Mundial

£145 for latest special editions.
True classics, and those that prefer a more traditional boot. The all new versions for 2014 feature either blackout or whiteout colourways with gold detail to ensure you are always blending into the background with sheer class. Maintaining many of the original features, the Copa Mundial is the most sold football boot of all time. EVER! And with a timeless shape and leather more supple and soft than baby penguin, we can see why.

There we have it, whilst in no particular order, they are our Top Football Boots for 2014 / 15 Season. No space for the adidas F50, and whilst Messi may don them like no other, are an option you cannot ignore, but we plumbed for a mix of classic and the new.

All boots should be reviewed on these pages in coming weeks, so check back for updates and the latest! Or why not submit your own?

And if that isn’t enough for you, we also have a brand new pair of White-Out (white / gold) adidas Copa Mundial to give away to one lucky reader! They are size 10, and all you need to do is head over to twitter, follow @averagejoesblog, and RT the following. Kicking off the new football season in style, RT & follow @averagejoesblog to win the latest adidas white-out Copa Mundial Boots!
