Where to Watch the World Cup on Outdoor Big Screens in London
The World Cup is fully underway and there really isn’t anything quite like the
euphoria misery of watching England with your pals in a World Cup. Yes, watching the game at home, where beers are at arm’s length, is less hassle. But what’s joy pain if it’s not shared among loved ones and random blokes with their tops off?
So with that in mind, we were planning on doing a UK round of the best places to watch the England games on an outdoor big screen. But unfortunately the rest of the UK has let everyone down, and it’s been left to London to bear the brunt of our Three Lions singing and shit face paint. So here’s the best outdoor big screens in the capital to watch the World Cup!
The Last Days of Shoreditch
Location: 288 Old Street, EC1V 9LA.

With a stellar line-up of music, food and booze, The Last Days of Shoreditch is always a great place to hang out in the summer. This year’s theme is ‘The Enchanted Garden’ and thankfully this garden possesses a gigantic outdoor screen and will be showing all of the England games.
The Water Poet
Location: 9-11 Folgate Street, E1 6BX.
Nearest Tube: Liverpool Street
Situated a small kick from Liverpool Street Station, The Water Poet is always the place to be when big televised events come around and the Russia 2018 World Cup is no different. With nine huge screens throughout the pub and garden, including an enormous cinema screen in the cellar bar, The Water Poet’s cracking beer selection and food menu only adds to the occasion. It will get busy here, so we’d recommend taking a half day and getting there early.

Themed around an urban lawn club, Skylight London returns again this summer for something quintessentially British. Combining the almightiest of garden parties with street food and cocktails on the rooftop of the Tobacco Dock, Skylight also has giant screens, both indoors and outdoors, for some rooftop World Cup action.

Boxpark Croydon (and Shoreditch) will be showing all World Cup games on a giant screen this summer, and to save you trips to the bar, during the big games they’ll be serving up big pitchers at big value. Naturally, there’s also a plethora of food options too, so you won’t be famished.

One of London’s newest drinking pop-ups, Pitch Stratford, is well worth a visit this summer, regardless of the football. But during World Cup games, they’ve got a 196-inch HD screen and some premium tables if you want a seat guaranteed. Entry to most games will be absolutely free but England games will be £5 a head, including a drink on arrival. There’s also some street food vendors on duty to see you through the

Open from midday ‘til late, FEST Camden has it all this summer. From club and cabaret, to party rooms and live music on the terrace, FEST has everyone catered for – even football fans. And that’s because they’ll be screening all the magic of the tournament across multi-screens and a giant projector. Live music and DJs will be playing between matches and there’ll even be confetti cannons. What more could you want!?
Flat Iron Square
Location: 53a Southwark Street, SE1 1RU.
Nearest Tube: Borough Market
For those near London Bridge, Flat Iron Square is the only place to be for England games. The massive beer garden has a massive outdoor screen installed alongside the 100-inch HD TV in Après London, and it’ll be showing all of the World Cup. Tables are on a first come first serve basis.
