Acer Aspire P3

Over the last 18 months a new breed of Ultrabooks and convertible laptops have hit the market, and even if there isn’t a market for them, the big players are certainly trying to create one, being different is very much being cool. Is the all new Acer Aspire P3 just that?
Another foray into the convertible laptop domain, the Acer Aspire P3 Not quite as funky as the R7 which was something right out of Startrek, the P3 but a more mild-mannered affair. It looks more like a swish leather bound notebook whilst closed, a rare sophistication amongst portable computing.
Open it up and you come across the hybrid, in much the same vein as the Surface, an adjustable viewing angle of 178-degrees and when you don’t want the keyboard, you just detach the touch screen. Under the hood you will find options for an Intel Core i3 or i5 CPUs, up to 120GB storage; Windows 8 and a choice of either 2 or 4GB RAM. The screen is an 11.6-inch 1,366 x 768 pixel IPS, to give colours that extra clarity.
The Acer Aspire P3 is another look at the hybrid market, and in all honesty a quite striking machine to look at. But would you buy a hybrid laptop? Do you see the benefits?
Acer have also teamed up with world renowned disc jockyiest, DJ Tiësto, for the launch, to show you just how exciting it can be!
