With vinyl sales through the roof and showing little sign of slowing up, LP players are becoming ever more exotic. And unlike CD players, for example, the difference in quality can be noticeably marked. One turntable that’s caught our attention is this Audiowood x Uncrate Barky, which is as gorgeous to look at as it is to listen to.

Take a Look at This Stunning Wooden Turntable by Audiowood

Cut from an Ash tree, with the rings and bark left intact, each Audiowood-made Barky turntable is as unique as it is beautiful. For the Uncrate version, a slice of Ash has been embonised and finished off with polyurethane and paste wax for a polished look.

Handmade in New Orleans, as well as coming with a hefty glass platter and blackened solid brass spike feet, it also performs like a dream too with an award-winning Rega Elys2 cartridge and super high-end Rega RB330 tonearm with acute stability and nearly friction-free movement.

Audiowood started in 2008 and are renowned for manufacturing custom turntables and other bespoke designs. Their wooden turntables, speakers, and other stereo and AV equipment combine a high-performance modern aesthetic with natural forms. All of their products are sustainably produced, by hand, in the US, using domestic and European components.

The Audiowood x Uncrate Barky Turntable is available now over at the Uncrate Website for around £1,780 ($2,500). 230V 50hz versions for Europe are available via special request at an additional cost. Check out more of Audiowood’s products over at their Website.
