Bang & Olufsen Unveil Beoplay E8 2.0 with Wireless Charging Case
Always at the forefront of audio design, Bang & Olufsen kicked off 2019 with… well, a bang. Offering superior sound and intuitive touch control B&O’s first true wireless earphones, Beoplay E8, have been given a makeover. Introducing the all-new Beoplay E8 2.0 earphone which comes with a wireless charging case.
Yes, high-end Danish tech kings Bang & Olufsen have unveiled the new Beoplay E8 2.0 headphones, complete with a redesigned premium leather charging case. The wireless charging case now holds three full charges, which gives up to 16 hours playing time, while you can now charge the earphones simply by placing the case on a wireless charging pad.
An LED light on the front of the case shows you the state of charging, while three LED lights on the back of the case show you the number of full charges left in the case. If you want to kick it old school, there’s also a USB-C for charging with a boring old cable.
Sound-wise, each earpiece has a 5.7mm dynamic speaker, a small electromagnetic transducer, NFMI technology (Near Field Magnetic Induction) and a Bluetooth 4.2 chip with Digital Sound Processing which allows for some dynamic sound tuning.
Available in four colours; Black, Indigo Blue, Natural and Limestone; the Bang & Olufsen E8 2.0 wireless earphones will be available on the B&O Website, in store and selected third party retailers from 14th February 2019. A pair will set you back £300.
Last year, Bang & Olufsen unveiled the monolithic £2,900 BeoSound Edge wireless speaker. Arguably more art than audio device, the all-in-one Edge includes a 10-inch woofer bass driver, two 4-inch midrange drivers and a 3/4-inch tweeter for those high notes.
