Bang & Olufsen’s New BeoLab 50 Is £20,000 Worth of Audio Heaven
Consistently one of the most innovative audio makers around, Bang & Olufsen have just unveiled their new BeoLab 50 floor-standing speakers. Divided between 7 dedicated amplifiers, the BeoLab 50 boats a whopping 2,100 Watts of precision power, creating the ultimate home loudspeaker for musical and cinematic experiences.
Borrowing technology from the company’s flagship BeoLab 90, the BeoLab 50 was developed to replace the BeoLab 5. With its slender, tall silhouette and rounded base, the BeoLab 50 is arguably one of the best looking speakers we’ve ever seen in. The aluminium surfaces and warm oak lamellas are inherently Bang & Olufsen, and offer a refined and visionary look to any home.
BeoLab 50 shares several technology patents and features from the radical BeoLab 90. For example, it comes with an adjustable acoustic lens, which means it can alter its sound delivery tailored to the position of the audience.
It also uses an external microphone for B&O’s cutting-edge Active Room Compensation technology, which measures the acoustical behaviour of your room and creates a set of custom filters that compensate for reflections from walls and furniture in different listening areas.
Despite being one of the most technologically advanced speakers available, you can access everything from BeoLab 50 with just a single touch. It integrates completely with your BeoVision TV using the BeoRemote One, and you can also use the Bang & Olufsen app on your phone or tablet to quickly set up and access saved presets, adjust settings and create new favourites.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 50 speakers are available now over at the Bang & Olufsen Website where prices start at around the £20,000 mark.
