Having been around for 50 years, it’s fair to say Bowers & Wilkins have firmly established themselves as one of the leading headphones producers here in the UK. And to celebrate their 50th birthday, the brand has just released their best cups yet – take a look at the beautifully crafted P9 Signature headphones.

Bowers & Wilkins P9 Signature Headphones

The P9 Signature headphones were designed and built by the B&W engineering team in the Steyning Research Establishment in West Sussex, and are said to exemplify all of the acoustic and design innovation skills that Bowers & Wilkins have amassed in their 50 year journey.

The P9 Signatures are Bowers & Wilkins largest over-ear headphones to date, and it’s for good reason; performance. The elegant earcups contain sophisticated acoustic cabinets perfected using Finite Element Analysis. Using composites and aluminium, the cups render your music with total precision.

Unlike others headphones, the headband on the P9 is also essential to the performance. The headband cleverly decouples each earcup, which B&W say stops unwanted vibration transmitting between each earcup. This removal of distortion is one of the reasons the P9 Signature is so clear and open sounding.

The headphones also feature a clever suspension system which enables them to provide precision at high frequencies and compliance for great bass. The drivers have also been angled to provide a more natural experience, so you’ll hear stereo more like it sounds in real life: in front of you rather than to the side.

Of course, while the performance is key, the P9 Signatures also look immaculate. Crafted from the finest Italian Saffiano leather, the headphones also come with a protective case made from and Italian Alcantara.

The Bowers & Wilkins P9 Signature headphones are available now over at the Bowers & Wilkins Website, where they’ll set you back £699.99.
