BT and glh. Launch Free Hotel Wi-Fi

Choosing a hotel used to be easy. Location, rooms, food, check and book! In recent years another tickbox has become high on the travellers list, and that is of course the options for Wi-Fi and preferably free Wi-Fi at that.
Given the relatively cheap cost and undoubted extra bonus to customers (and no doubt loyalty) it still comes as a major surprise when hotels charge for use of Wi-Fi, and not just charge, more extort. London based hotel umbrella glh., which includes the Thistle, Clermont, Amba, Cumberland and LiteNite brands, have just launched free and unlimited one click broadband for all guests visiting their hotels. No long, spam email at the ready sign-up process, just a simple one click agree to terms and away you go.
In 2013, guests of the Thistle Hotel chain alone were connected for over a billion minutes. The Free Wi-Fi will be available in all rooms, public areas and conference rooms across every hotel within the brand. We just hope other brands start to wake up and follow suit.
