DJI Mavic Pro Foldable Drone
When drones first hit the scene, it’s fair to say there were a few teething problems. And while most of them have been solved – steady cameras and autonomous flying, for example – there’s still one obstacle that’s yet to really be addressed; size. That is until now with the introduction of the DJI Mavic Pro foldable drone, which incredibly can fold down into a package not much bigger than a water bottle!
The DJI Mavic Pro is a small yet powerful drone that turns the sky into your creative canvas easily and without worry. DJI are calling it their ‘most sophisticated flying camera ever’ and it’s not hard to see why with a compact foldable, drone that doesn’t compromise on shooting in 4K camera, the range of shooting, or even the flight time.
The Mavic Pro has a 4.3 miles shooting range and is capable of shooting at that range for 27 minutes. It features 24 high-performance computing cores, 5 vision sensors, and a 4K camera stabilised by a 3-axis mechanical gimbal even during high speed motion, ensuring smooth video and sharp photography.
There’s plenty of other features on the Mavic Pro too such as DJI’s new nifty ‘FlightAutonomy technology’, which will automatically guide your drone around obstacles even if they’re up to 49ft (15m) away. Very handy if you can’t see the landscape where you’re landing your drone!
While this is obviously all essential stuff, the Mavic’s real selling point is its size. At 1/6th the size of the Phantom 4, the Mavic Pro really is perfect for those who like to use their drone on the go – particularly abroad. With its ability to fold down to not much larger than a water bottle, the Mavic Pro is one of the most exciting drones we’ve come across in a long time.
