Marshall have just unveiled the Major III, the latest incarnation of the audio specialist’s most popular headphone. Since launching in 2010, the Major has sold over 2 million units, and the v3.0 of this beloved headphone is looking to take things to the next level with new drivers for improved sound characteristics, updated ear cushions, and real vinyl details.
Available in both Bluetooth and wired versions, the new Marshall Major III headphone is a modern classic that has been re-engineered for a cleaner, refined design, while the silhouette has stayed true to its original form.
The main update to the Major II are the new 40mm dynamic drivers that have been optimised and carefully tuned to give improved sound characteristics. The headphones have a clear, more defined sound without any compromise on power at lower frequencies.
It should also be noted that the Bluetooth version of the Major III comes with some seriously impressive playtime too. We’re talking over 30 hours of wireless playtime on a single charge thanks to the built-in Bluetooth aptX technology. That’s far more than virtually every other competitor.
Design-wise, the Major III have been re-engineered with a straight fit headband, slimmed down 3D hinges and rebuilt ear cushions for comfortable all-day use. Thicker loop wires with reinforced rubber dampers also contribute to the overall solid build quality.
The Marshall Major III and Major III Bluetooth headphones are available now over at the Marshall Website where you can buy a pair of Bluetooths for £129 or Wireds for £69.
Earlier this month, B&O PLAY unveiled the latest addition to their earphones line-up with the Earset, an earphone 20 years in the making.
