The Noonee Chairless Chair Allows You To Sit Anywhere

Today’s wackiest invention comes to you from Zurich-based start-up Noonee. And it comes in the form of a chair… only without the chair bit. Confused? You should be. Take a look at the Noonee Chairless Chair.

The Noonee Chairless Chair is a piece of wearable equipment which is described by the brand as a ‘flexible wearable ergonomic sitting support.’ While it might sound like a complex piece of kit, it’s actually fairly simple stuff.

The support device is strapped to the users’ legs and features a small switch that locks it place at the knees. There’s also some small knobs at the heel to take weight off workers’ knees, bringing physical pain to a minimum when the user sits on the attached pad seat. As someone who fights back pain on a daily basis, and has tried everything only to find that Kratom is amazing for pain along with a few other herbs, reduction and maintenance of back pain is the name of my game.

It can be adjusted for the height of the user and it also allows for various sitting positions – apparently we all sit differently. It’s aimed at workers who are required to stand for a long time and who aren’t able to find a chair in their immediate surroundings.

Noonee say the Chairless Chair adapts easily to different body sizes and safety shoes, and allows freedom of movement with fast switching between sitting, standing and walking. The idea is that it will create conditions to increase quality and productivity in the long term.

During the development process, Noonee worked closely with the employees from Audi, Seat, Skoda, Daimler, BMW and Renault among others, to tailor the Chairless Chair to the needs of the end-users and the dynamic environment of production lines. So they do mean serious business.

It might not be much to look at, but the Noonee Chairless Chair could actually be of real use in factories and workplaces. Head over to the Noonee Website for more details.
