Polaroid seem to evoke notions of retro and nostalgia quite like no other brand. However, bringing an undoubtedly iconic but still dated concept into the 21st century is no easy task. But Polaroid are giving it a go and have announced the latest addition to their digital camera range with the Polaroid Snap!
The Polaroid Snap delivers the instant simplicity and spontaneity that is synonymous with the brand with a pocket-sized camera which enables Joes to easily print physical photos at the push of a button, while saving their digital image for easy uploading to a computer and any social media platform.
The Polaroid Snap, first and foremost, is a 10MP digital instant camera that comes with all the capabilities of one. There’s loads of different capturing modes, including colour, black and white and a vintage Polaroid photo inspired mode.
The camera also features a photo booth mode, which takes six quick pictures in ten seconds, as well as a self-timer feature, so you can capture that perfect selfie. The Snap comes with a Micro SD card slot that holds up to 32GB and you can easily transfer and upload images to your computer, cloud service or social media platform.
But this is a Polaroid, so you’ll also be able to do some instant printing too using ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology. Joes can instantly print full colour, 2 x 3 inch prints as soon as the image is taken. The prints are ready in just under a minute and thanks to its quick print abilities, you can shoot new images even while the Polaroid Snap is printing.
The look of the Polaroid Snap instant camera is suitably minimalist to keep in line with Polaroid’s previous offerings and we love it for it. The Snap will come in Blue, Red and Black options, but we think you’d have to be pretty unhinged not to go with the classic White!
While no official date has been set yet, the Polaroid Snap instant digital camera will be available by the end of this year and will set Joes back around £99.
