In a world of apps and small-screen web roaming, it’s no surprise that the computer market is aiming to produce devices that are smaller than ever. With that in mind, check out the Remix Mini which is being dubbed ‘the world’s first true Android PC.’
Powered by the popular Remix OS, the Remix Mini allows you to work and play with the entire Android app ecosystem while taking full advantage of intuitive PC features such as a taskbar, multiple window multi-tasking, mouse and keyboard support.
But this is no traditional PC. While other companies are spending top dollar for the latest hardware specs just to check their email and watch YouTube videos, Remix Mini features a single touch power button which will give you access to any of the 1.5 million compatible Android apps.
So rather than awkwardly feeling around the back panel for that elusive power button, just gently tap the top of your Mini and within seconds you’ll be able to start working and surfing the internet as you would with any other computer.
Even at its small size, the Remix Mini comes equipped with everything you need in order to stay connected – Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB – so it’s incredibly versatile and will connect to a display any way a Joe wants.
It’s also brilliantly energy efficient – the typical desktop computer clocks in at anywhere between 65 to 250 watts, the Remix Mini gives you the same power of desktop computing at a mere 10 watts. Save the planet and all that…
The Remix Mini comes in two versions. As a home media centre, the 1G RAM + 8 GB storage gives Joes more than enough capacity to stream and download regularly. But, if you’re looking for something with a bit productivity, a 2G RAM + 16GB storage version is available too.
We absolutely love the idea of the Remix Mini. It’s practical, functional and also very cheap. Joes can get themselves one for as little as £20 for a 1GB. We think that’s incredible value!
The Remix Mini is being sold on Kickstarter and with 30 days to go, the initial $50,000 target has already been surpassed. By how much? It’s almost raised $1 million! So it’s fair to say Joes love it as much as we do!
