Urbanears have just unveiled the latest addition to its line up of quality speakers with the small yet powerful Lotsen. Compact with big capabilities, the Lotsen’s well-balanced sounds easily fills small to mid-sized rooms, conveniently sized for compact places like side tables, shelves and countertops.
Designed with some textbook Scandi minimalism, the new Urbanears Lotsen speaker allows users to enjoy a boundless connectivity. Wi-Fi means you’ll have access to all your favourite streaming services, with Spotify, Airplay and Chromecast built-in, while Bluetooth and aux options means you’ll always stay connected.
With the ability to play everything from hi-res audio to the analog sounds of your vinyl player, the Lotsen stays up-to-date with the latest features via over-the-air updates. It can also be paired with the likes of the Stammen and Baggen, which launched early 2017, for a stellar multiroom experience. Play them together or set a different mood in each room.
Taking a note from its older siblings, the Lotsen keeps things simple aesthetically with no digital displays and plenty of clean lines. Wrapped in acoustically transparent fabric, each of the speaker’s two knobs at the top of the speaker are completely customisable when it comes to presets, meaning users can keep a range of moods on standby for instant play at the push of the knob.
Set-up and use of the speaker is simple too, with the easy- to-use Urbanears app. Effortlessly operate the speaker from any room through the app which allows users to set up the speaker, manage presets and multi-room settings, and adjust the equaliser to suit your room and taste.
The Urbanears Lotsen is available now for £179 in six different colourways – concrete grey, dirty pink, goldfish orange, indigo blue, plant green and vinyl black. Head over to the Urbanears Website to find out more.
Last month, IKEA released their first ever Bluetooth speaker – the ENEBY.
