Zanco Tiny T1: World’s Smallest Mobile Phone
We’re all aware that our lives revolve an unhealthy amount around our smartphones. But even for the most ardent socialite, the smartphone’s incessant stream of notifications and apps are just plain annoying. Well, the Zanco Tiny T1 is the ‘World’s Smallest Mobile Phone’ and performs two functions: texts and phone calls! Simple.
Coming in at less than 2 inches (47mm) tall, the Zanco Tiny T1 is the world’s smallest fully-functioning phone which can make calls and send texts. Given its size, the T1 doesn’t come with the largest of memories, but it can store up to 300 contacts, 50 texts and the last 50 incoming/outgoing numbers used.
But while its memory might not be the most impressive, the Zanco’s battery size is actually very much so. Though small, the battery has very little to operate, which means it can allegedly last 3 days on standby and over 180 minutes of talk time. Other features include a changeable nano-SIM, OLED screen and 13 voice changers.
The main drawback, not completely unsurprisingly, is the phone operates on the rather outdated 2G network. But really, the Zanco isn’t intended for everyday use and we think it would make the perfect second mobile for travelling, nights out or even working out where taking your main smartphone is just too risky.
The Zanco Tiny T1 is being sold over at Kickstarter, where with over two weeks of funding left to go, the World’s Smallest Working Phone has already smashed its original target. Head over to the Zanco Tiny T1 Kickstarter Website where you can get hold of one for just £35 – a fraction of the price of the iPhone X!
