Male Cosmetic Surgery on the rise

This may come as a surprise to some, but not so much for others but male cosmetic surgery is on the rise in the UK. Recent research from BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) and ISAPS (International Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) show that in the UK 10% of all cosmetic surgery is now undertaken on men.
Rhinoplastery, a nose job to you and I, comes in at number 1, accounting for 24% of improvements, while getting rid of those un-wanted man boobs now counts for 16%. We aspire to have a chest like Arnie, and abs like Brad Pitt according to the study. But what we are finding hard to fathom is what the hell is eye lid surgery?! We can only assume a heavy night, too much sleep and you can’t open your eyes and wake up on a Monday morning for work?!
In terms of the UK as a whole, we are a lowly 18th on the charts, so maybe we are happier with our bodies than people think? One shocking statistic is that female breast reductions count for 13% of female cosmetic surgery. Come on girls, do it for your man, the back pain can’t be any worse than all those shelves we have to put up… *cough*.
if you have had surgery, good or bad, do please let us know.
